Thanks 1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine for reminding me how much I used to enjoy Saturday morning cartoons, even if it is only Friday. I've got to get that bag!
donnae donnae - You already have that magic bag - every one of us does, in fact - but we've been convinced by the advertising which surrounds us every waking minute that what's in the bag is worthless because it's free. In their effort to promote consumerism, corporations have done their best to substitute value for worth and merit for virtue.

In the Spring, the magic bag will yield up crocus and snowdrops and daffodils; the trilling of warblers, the whistles of chickadees, the reedy songs of of thrushes - and perhaps even a glimpse of a fox and her kits. Sit outside in the quiet of a clear Summer's evening, and the magic bag will give you the stars wheeling 'round the Heavens, the sound of frogs and crickets calling, and perhaps the scent of Jasmine or Honeysuckle on the breeze. As Summer wears on into Autumn, the magic bag offers up long walks in the woods, with the sound of leaves underfoot, asters, heather and anemones lining the trails, and the scent of windfall apples in the orchards of the countryside. Even in Winter, when you might expect the magic bag to finally be empty, it holds surprises, pouring forth the fragrance of wood smoke, and sound of downy woodpeckers in the woodlands, and the simply peacefulness of cats curled up snug and warm by the fireside.

All of the bag's offerings are well known to children, but unfortunately, as we grow older, we are taught that for a thing to have virtue, there must be a commensurate monetary cost as well, and in 'learning' this, we lose our understanding of what things truly hold worthiness, and which simply have value. Children know. Cats know. Even the birds of the fields and forests, and the animals of the woodlands know. If you watch them and listen to them, you might find that the magic bag has been right there beside you all along.

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine - I would like to reply, but there is nothing more to say. Your words just speak for themselves.

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine , what words of beauty, hope and new life you have written. To think that magic bag is still there for all of us, just waiting to be called on.

R raysmyheart - Awww... sweet little Speedy would never change the channel while you were getting a snack. That innocent little kitty? Never!

The bag looks like a Louis Vuitton, and obviously has the additional "talent" of being able to delude people into paying vast sums just because it has some French guy's name on it. :headshake:
The mad scientist is probably Elon Musk.
And Felix? Well, IDK, but we sure need him now! :yess:

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine what beautiful words of wisdom. Thanks for reminding me that all I ever need is in my soul. Although a purse with an escalator would be nice for reaching the shoes stored on the top shelf of my closet.

"What color today? This is getting old. Did you even try to order that bag yet?"
