Hi!
So, I’ve been on a quest to find good wet food for my picky kitty...
I’m looking for:
- grain free
- non fish based
- pate
- no peas, potatoes or any other types of fillers or veggies
- no carrageenan
+ WITH gums (guar gum, xantham gum, locus bean gum, etc).
Does anybody know of a brand or flavor within a brand that meets these requirements?
So far the only one I’ve found is FROMM and my kitty loves it, finishes every bit of it. I did try other brands that don’t have any nasties in them but without gums the texture of pate is gritty and when my cat tries to eat it he licks and food flies out of his mouth and out of the food dish, he doesn’t want to bite it to pick up food, only licks it when it’s on a plate, but will bite it if I offer food on my hand ( Rawz turkey, Hound & gatos gamebird - he ate out of my hand, but ate very little out of the dish).
I really want to have a few good brands in rotation. However, I don’t feel like paying premium prices for so called grain free foods that have a bunch of veggies in them as fillers, might as well go with Fancy feast classics then.
Thanks. Sorry for a long post
