We are good.. will post tomorrow, (Wednesday)... it was not a good day for me, but Artie had a good day..
Hope today is better for you, and JUST AS GOOD for Artie!

Artie was so happy to see me when I finally came home! Zoomies all over the place!! He wanted to play so badly ~~ wanted my attention. He was upset because I had to ignore him~ poor neglected little boy. Artie had to resort to playing with his toys; his nice fluffy terrycloth ball. It appears that he does miss me, when I am not home.
Of course he does! You are his person, the center of his world!

OUCH! Sorry to hear about the car, but it happens. Main thing is, YOU ARE OK!

HUGS

Glad to hear Artie is still doing well with intakes and outputs. And wanting to play is definitely good. And giving his mom morining wake up calls. All good. :catrub:

Sorry though about your car's ouchey. Will your insurance cover any of it, or would it just up your premium?

thanks... ((hugs)).. What happened to the car, was my stupid fault; no other car involved. I am going to have to pay for it out of pocket; unless I do a bunch of lying (evidence will show I was at fault). Or I could wait UNTIL someone hits me to get it fixed....

Not my style to lie~~ not my style to drive around with a bad rear bumper.. so it will be getting fixed.
Not what I need right now.. It was a very bad day... my own stupid fault..
Something was in my blind spot as I was backing up, trying to avoid a brick lined post on one side and a post/handrailing behind me.. Yes, the hand rail is sticking out, a full foot further than the silver warning post.. Tight quarters.. and all because someone was parking in MY ASSIGNED Handicapped Parking spot... an non-handicapped person. I read her the riot act, when she came out. I was trying to maneuver back into my spot.. should have done it a different way..

Artie is ok today.. not as playful, or eating as much, but still my love...

Wow. That sux. If it had happened on a public street the person would have gotten a HUGE ticket for it. :sigh::livid: Sounds like our driveways here, which friends have remarked are VERY narrow, but these houses are 80 years old, and the vehicles were a lot smaller back then, I guess...

Wishing for a better day for you today and a very good day for Artie as well! :heartshape::redcat::goldstar:

Thanks for asking. Artie is Artie.. He is pooping and eating.. Very vocal, plays, has zoomies. Is eating about one small can of food during the day, and 1/3 cup of dry at night. He seems good with this mix. Completely refusing the wet prescription food. Actually, I returned the case for a refund.

He wakes me up, every morning. His poops are either first thing in the morning, or last thing at night. He poops about 4 times a week. I Learned that if I do not get up, when he screams in my ear, then I will have a piece of poop on my pillow, waiting for me!!

It is really strange, about his poops.. Yesterday, he pooped about 6 inches. I know, an amazing amount.
What was strange about his poops was: You could see the difference in texture and color between whatever food he eats. He eats the dry Fiber Response food at night, about 1/3 cup; during the day, he eats the 'junk' food; his poops reflect that.

Yesterday, there was a segment of 3 x 1 from the Fiber Response food-- darker, solid, thicker. Then it suddenly it changed, during the same session to 3 x 1/2 inches of very soft, grey, thinner textured poop from the 'junk' food ~~~ so strange, but at least he is pooping.

He did vomit last night, before I went to bed. It was a huge, loud howl, scared me to death.. and then he vomited up some fur, mixed with liquid.

As soon as he did that, he walked away, stretched on his scratching post, and wanted food.. so I am not worried.. it was just a NORMAL fur ball...whew...
nothing is normal for him, so I originally thought the worst.

It seems he is shedding a ton. I found so many fur-bunnies this morning. Is it time for them to shed? seems early.

Artie seems happy~ seriously.

Artie is clinging to me in bed, this week. He knows I have been really upset and down about stuff.

I have not been active on here because of me not feeling upbeat. I figured being by myself was better than whining or saying the wrong thing.

I do not know if you would want to know, hijacking my own thread, but, we got the word, early this week that my church is going to close. Yes, long story... we are devastated. I do not think the entire congregation is aware of this yet. There was a meeting Tuesday night.

I will not go into detail, because this is a cat forum and a thread about Artie, but I really upset about this. It seems it is a done deal.

sorry for hijacking my own thread. Just trying to get a handle on my feelings..

So, not a good week for me: Car, financial things, and now the church.. BuT ARTIE is good!!!

Thanks for asking.. and keeping us in your thoughts

Really strange how the :poop: texture changes but that's our Artie  Great news about the regular hairball, we hit 60F on Thursday (back to 12F today) have you had any warm weather that may have triggered the shedding?
So sorry your church is closing, I don't see how you could :hijack: hijack your own thread but you can start a thread in IMO: In My Opinion to vent, venting is good as you already know from this thread.
Keep hanging in there :hangin: and thanks for checking in for us ,we worry when we don't hear from you for a while but don't stress about posting. Take care, stay safe and stay warm. :heartshape::vibes::vibes::vibes::hugs: :lovecat2:

TCS is a place for us to be ourselves, not always "on our best behavior"! I think I speak for all of us, or at least Artie's Army, when I say that, yes? We just want to hear from you that you're both doing okay. Everyone has a right to be moody at times -- in this world, how could we not, sometimes?!!
Elvis seems to "go" morning and night, too. I've read that cats can "go" about 20 min-30 min after eating. But what's "normal" for one may not be "normal" for another. Elvis seems to follow me into the bathroom first thing in the morning and last thing at night -- maybe he likes the feeling of camaraderie.
Sounds like you've hit upon a good combination of foods for Artie to eat and that he likes this pattern right now. I've noticed different colorations in my cats' "production" as well, and it seems logical to me, because they're eating different things.
Really sorry about your church! Where is everyone going to go when that happens? Hopefully you'll be able to attend at another location! Spiritual community is very important and can be so very helpful.
Wishing you and Artie a GOOD day, in spite of the not-so-great things happening. There are always so many blessings we can count, aren't there? :vibes::vibes::vibes:;):redcat:

Well, he is warning you! What's a cat to do when you won't get up and admire his poops?

it was just a NORMAL fur ball...whew...
ANY time Artie does a "normal" thing, I just want to dance, like this, :dancingblackcat:

He knows I have been really upset and down about stuff.
Of course he does. Your are his person. Everything about you is endlessly fascinating to him. Your ups are his ups, and your downs are his downs. :catrub:

I have not been active on here because of me not feeling upbeat. I figured being by myself was better than whining or saying the wrong thing.
OK, this has been said before, but...you say anything here that you need to say. WE love Artie, and WE LOVE YOU! If talking makes it better, we will "listen." You don't whine. You share. So there. :angelcat:

You can't hijack your own thread. I am SO SORRY that your church is closing. I know what a lifeline that is for you to the "real" world! Start a thread, talk about it here, doesn't matter. Either way is fine. What happens in your world is part of what is happening in Artie's world. It is all connected, and goes here as well as anywhere else.:alright::hugs:

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 it has to be ESP. I was just coming on here to post an update.

Artie has been vomiting a bit since Friday night. He hacked up some fur on Friday, Sunday was just some clear liquid, this morning was a solid small fur ball. I wonder if he was trying to get this piece up. It looked like an undissolved gelcap. It took a lot for me to take it apart and tell it was a tight fur ball. He has had an upset tummy all day, not eating.

A bad day for him, all around. The renovations continue :censored:
In the middle of winter, with snow on the ground, they are ripping yup the carpeting and installing new carpeting in the corridors!! :argh: IDIOTS!!

And Tomorrow they are installing a new AC unit on the roof!!:angryfire::livid::livid::livid::livid::livid:
Talk about doing things butt, backwards....:argue::argue: It is going to be 31 degrees!! and a snow storm on Wednesday!! seriously.. What rocket scientist scheduled this??

It was a bit noisy this morning when they were ripping up the carpeting; so I put the radio on a bit louder.

I did have a door mat outside, to protect my floors from the ice melt and dirt. The guy ripping up the rug had the mat in between the pieces of rug. He was going to throw it out!!
Inconsiderate Monsters!:argh::fuming:

I did go out, came home, only to find some kind of sealer blocking me from getting into my apartment. The guy was Nasty as all heck! Told him I lived there! He was bull!
He had to take an old piece of carpeting to cover the sealer!! All I said was, "Jeesh, if I had known I would have gone out a bit longer." He nastily responded: "there are signs all over the place'. I was furious!! I replied, "There is up about me not being able to get into MY apartment." :angryfire:

Got in, Artie was curled up on my bed. The noise from was incredible. He was jumping at all of it.. poor baby. I immediately got the Zykleene capsule, and gave it to him. He did calm down to sleep, in the same position, on my bed...My bedroom is a bit quieter.

No food eaten, while I was gone, or during the afternoon...

While I was washing dishes, he did come over for some food. I opened up a new can, salmon.. he ate a bit, not much, but a bit.

Now, he is in his tent.. it is quiet.

I dread tomorrow. I do not want to give him another Zykleene, but if the noise is bad, I will. :livid: :angryfire::angrywoman:

He did poop this morning, 6 x 1/2 inches.
I do not expect any from him tomorrow.

yes, the frustrations, anger continues..... we had a break for Christmas.. and now back to insanity!:bat::bat:

Poor Artie.. I worry about how this is effecting him. :cloudy:He is taking enough meds, and I do not want to give him anymore. I do have the Feliway plug-in, going continuously...

All in all, it sounds like Artie's doing pretty well. No matter how much a cat gets brushed, it seems, a cat will occasionally have a furball. That happens here, too, and it surprises me because they ask to be brushed a lot and 99% of the time, when they ask, they receive. And they are all shorthairs, eating a very good diet. I guess *It's a cat thing. We wouldn't understand.*:winkcat:
Maybe they installed the new A/C now because when it gets hot, it'll be ready to go. That's how I'd look at it, anyway.
Your building is better than the building I lived in that had an inside hallway. They'd CLEAN the carpet from time to time, but they NEVER replaced it and it was so old, it seemed to be as old as the building, which was 60+ years old when I lived there. I would have actually liked it if they'd replaced it because I was concerned someone might trip on it (like the Queen of Clumsy here).
Not familiar with Zykleene but am glad to hear Artie ate a little salmon. My crew are freaky for salmon!
Feliway is a wonderful thing, don't you agree? :winkcat:
Wishing you both a good evening/night! :catrub:

Well, Artie was zonked out, for about 12 hours-- kind of dead to the world. He did lick a bit of salmon.

During the night, he did eat a bit more of the salmon, and some dry--not much, but some. He did poop a tiny, tiny cow patty when I got up.. only 1.5 inches.
and ate about 1/4 small can.

the noise is about to begin.. I hate like all heck to give him another zyklene. I think I will wait on it.

and a snow storm tomorrow.. just when I am getting my car fixed. It would take too much to postpone it ~~ between the body repair shop and Enterprise rental.. sigh..
