New Adopted Cat Ran Away From New Home :(

Hi! I just adopted my third cat, a male ginger. I left his cage open when we get home, gave him few pieces of dry cat food and occassionally pat him on the head. He did not try going out of the cage then, but came my brother-in-law who tried to get him out. Unfortunately, he went out straight to the gate. I ran after him, but disappeared on the last spot where I saw him, on a neighbor's garage. I already asked my neighbors to check, but there was no any signs of his presence in their garage. Will he come back to me? I jad him for only a couple of hours. I hope I could still find him. It's New Year's Eve and I just can imagine the stress he's going through with all of the noise around.

It is hard to say whether the cat will come back. You can put some food out by the gate so see if that will attract him. I would also check around your neighborhood. Since it is all unfamiliar to him he may not wander too far away. And if you can post lost cat notices perhaps someone will find him and return him to you.

Oh no Post fliers, call all vets and shelters in the area too. Post on facebook and check with neighbors as well.

Put out food too.

Search everywhere. Under the deck/porch, under bushes.. tiny spots high and low.

I hope you find him!!

My Rubeus is back! I found him sitting steadily on the wall of the garage I was talking about. He won't come down so I needed to climb and eventually got bruised. He already ate the food I offered him. Thank you for the replies, Sweeties!
