I'm pretty sure that almost every one of us buys our cats some sort of gift for the holidays. But here is my question...

Do your cats buy YOU gifts to put under the tree (or where ever)?

Hekitty does. In fact, there is so much legend and lore that has grown up around Hekitty that I've already had several neighbors report to me that they have seen her shopping at Walmart and a couple of other places around our tiny town. Which is utterly absurd. I'm positive that she does her shopping online! Oh, and she also buys a gift for her "Aunty Suzanne" as well.

...with the cats...
my three don't buy gifts for me, but they do give me wonderful gifts each Christmas! just watching them enjoy their gifts and Christmas stockings filled with toys, and all of us spending a nice quiet day together -- those are the best Christmas gifts for me! :cloud9:

ahhh, your Hekitty is such a smart girl!!! :agree: ...maybe she now prefers to shop in-store at Walmart, because some things cost less if bought in-store or even ordered online to pick up at the store (site-to-store). maybe your girl wants to do her part to help cut costs, get the most for the money spent...?

Not something I can use but I know they mean well . " It's the thought that counts ..."

As electric signals and chemical reactions stop in a brain, life stops.
When life has stopped there is only the nothingness, empty void of nothing.

Thus as none of kitties are in books of living, they cannot receive or give gifts.

Yes, sometimes there are gifts for me under the tree from Abby, and sometimes she puts gifts under the tree for my husband. :)

Rick and I always get gifts from our kids. For years, Hydrox, the Old Coot, gave me my Stephen King novel at Christmas. When he died, it was up to Banshee to carry on the tradition and she did it for many years, always signed by "Your Queen B". Now Mollipop usually gives me something as well as her dad; actually they're from the whole clan. The signatures on the gifts are paw prints, including a bigger paw print, which signifies The Beast.

I don't know if our cats past and present have ever done the actual shopping but somehow their name(s) always appears on the card - it's the thought that counts.

Yes, like her human mom, Ruby loves to buy Christmas gifts. She's an indoor only kitty, so unless she sneaks out after I'm asleep, she must do her shopping online. She's certainly familiar with the computer, as she spends enough time sitting in front of it when I'm trying to type. :hellocomputer:

Why have I never thought of this before?! It wouldn't surprise me to find Mooch and Noodles are generous enough to go in on that laptop I've been wanting! That perfume? New pjs and slippers?! :hyper:

DH and I focus more on the kids. I might put a few things for him under the tree; but usually we know what we are getting from each other and often skip the wrapping stage. So I don't open much anymore. This might be the solution! ;)

The cats are usually the giver of random things that pop up closer to Christmas. A lip gloss set for my niece or oven mitt for my mom. They even have there own cat wrapping paper this year that says "Meowy Christmas"

This will be their first Christmas. But if they wanted to give me the gift of sleep, that would be awesome.
One night of uninterrupted sleep. No bang, thump, crash, just quiet for one night.
