I just ordered my online Advent Calendar from Jacquie Lawson, it is my second year. It is set in The Alps this year and looks beautiful. You can look around the calendar and hear the soothing music and see the beautiful artwork, but I am waiting for the first day of the calendar very excitedly. I can't wait! Last year was an English seaside village, and it was so magical. I still have it on my computer because it is such a treasure. I ordered a copy for my sister.

I can't tell you how much these posts of all things PAWSitive have touched me. Each and every one of the posts is treasured by me. Thank you, my friends!

I woke up this morning to a dreamy vista of autumn color outside my window. By the time I'd found my camera in the bedcovers, my view had gotten even better.

I then padded into the living room and tried to take another photo of leaf color. Again, my photo turned out to be something much different than planned.

Got a good nights sleep=or at least only woke twice to make the trip to the bathroom instead of the usual 4. Nice bright sun this morning but it didn't last. Doesn't bother me. I love a cloudy day-easier on my eyes and no sunburn! And the best news=Jon got some relief from his full body pain-the specialist has him trying a medication and looks like it's taking half of his pain away and it's not even 24 hours after starting it. THAT is the best news. So hard watching him hurt 24/7 and nothing worked...Now maybe we can actually take day trips and won't need to rest as much.
And love all the posts here.

Also just got a new Chewy order for my pup and kitties! I love seeing them so excited when the box comes with food and toys. It's like they know it's for them!

We also got a Chewy order earlier... and it's true that they know it's for them. I was just telling my husband that I think they spray something in the box, or use something to scent it, because my kitty can definitely tell when it's for her even when there's no food in the order.

I got to have lunch today with an old friend. We go back to Middle School! She became one of my few mom-friends after my DD was born; but she moved away about 4 years ago. This summer her husband's job brought her back here again. We haven't had many opportunities to get together; but today we made it happen! My other 2 good Mom-friends have moved away also; so I'm really really glad to have her back! :agree:

I think you're right! They can always tell. Although I will also say that at Christmas time, my dog knows which present bag is for him and goes crazy,(yes, we wrapped his present lol,) even if it's only toys, but will totally ignore the other presents filled with clothes or even kids stuffed animals! Maybe it's something inherent to all pet products?

mama africa mama africa you have a lovely view from your office. How do you ever get any work done?

It was really windy here last night and the last of the leaves and pine needles all got blown down. So now I can think about raking the cat's enclosure one last time before winter sets in. Might do that this afternoon if I'm feeling energetic.

And now for something positive: I almost dropped my apple at lunch today, (and on the stockroom floor, which is pretty lint-filled during sweater season,) but I magically caught it with my off hand, and saved it. Since this moment of dexterity is very atypical for me, I can only assume I am developing cat-like reflexes from watching graceful kittens jump and play! :lol2:

Well, whatever it is, it sure makes shopping for our furbabies fun!

My friend's daughter went through 7 hours of surgery to remove a brain tumor this morning. The tumor was benign! :jive: When I found out the results I was so excited that I picked up Carleton and gave him a giant smooch. :lovecat3:

This is our youngest canine "Winkston Jack Buchanan" and he insists that he was NOT hunting for hidden treasures in the litter boxes! :devilish:

Luckily I scoop often and he has limited access to where the boxes are located...
:barfgreen::running:

Pupper says he just wanted to help...:dunno: :lol:

Yes Norachan Norachan the view is indeed very lovely from the 18 th floor. Last year we were able to grow bananas in my office...
