I'm a little bit drunk.

:lol2:

Had a great day off. Got loads of chores done, friends came over in the afternoon to meet the kittens, got invited to an impromptu BBQ, swapped phone numbers with a lady who is interested in taking English lesson (This is a good thing. The more lessons I teach the more cat food I can buy) and was home by 9 pm in time to give the kitties their supper.

Today is a day off ; I enjoyed to sleep one hour (!) longer than I usually do and Missy seemed to do likewise; I had time to go to the bakery shop to get some croissants. The sweet smell of freshly-baked bread and pastries is irresistible and made me smile. I can feel it; this is gonna be a great day :):):) !!!
mama africa mama africa - I think you got that extra hour from me! I was awake early, and decided to change the litter boxes while coffee was brewing, rather than waiting until evening. By ten o'clock all fourteen boxes were filled and in place, the old boxes dumped, washed, bleached and rinsed out, the longhaired kitties (Puff, Peanut, Bob, Friday and Clawed-Ya) combed, all the kitties fed, and I was out on the patio in the near-Summer temperatures, having my coffee and listening to the red squirrels chattering and 'clicking' in the walnut trees! "Productive" always equals "good" - especially when there's fresh coffee afterwards!

We've got four 3-week-old rabbits at the shelter. Three of them (two black, one gray and black) were out of their nest this morning and nibbling mama's veggies.

This has been an odd year - all the kittens were eating solid food at four weeks, too, though usually they don't start till they're around 5 weeks old.

Thank you @CatOverTheLine for correcting the word 'irrisistable' in my (quoted) post. I'm always so eager to post messages that I don't take time to check the spelling. Enjoy the result of your productivity ; eleven happy kitties.:bluepaw::bluepaw::greenpaw::bluepaw::greenpaw::greenpaw::bluepaw::greenpaw::bluepaw::greenpaw::greenpaw:

:banana1: It's Friday! :banana2:

21 years ago today I married the love of my life. :dance:I can't believe how time flies!
He has supported and been an active participant in all my pet rescue over the years. One of the first important things he learned about me was that animals are a passion of mine. I had a magnet that said "He asked me to choose between him or the cats. I miss him sometimes" He knew that I would NEVER compromise if that statement ever even was a thought in his mind

Not only is he ( I'll call him "E") an excellent pet dad, he is the best dad to our fur-less, 2 legged babies too! I feel so blessed to have him as my husband & best friend. We were truly made for each other :p

Love this idea! My indoor cats are all doing great - Ninja, Gizmo, Snickerdoodle, and Mr. Chill - and are happy and healthy. My feral cats - Frankie, Aggie, Ghost, and Rusty - are all thriving as well, and are all becoming really comfortable around me. I get lots of purrs and rubs from them these days!

I was trying to help my daughter get medication for her special needs cat and after running into one road-block after another, I suddenly remembered online pet pharmacies. What a great service! Not only will they deliver it to her front door, the cost was half what she usually pays.

It is Friday and one hour left until the weekend. Not that work has been hard for me lately, that should be obvious with the amount of time I spend on TCS. So long as I am at work to fix problems and answer the phones I get paid:) The highlight of my day today was preventing the company owner from getting screwed over by a bogus email. I am in no hurry to get out of work but it is cold and damp in Ottawa today so I can't wait to get home to snuggle on the couch with some kitties.

Two or three times a year, I have chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, lovingly slathered in jalapeno gravy with a side of fresh steamed green beans, you know, for my health. A little Mom&Pop Texas-home-style-heart-attack-in-a-box place makes it from scratch. Those two or three days a year when I overload my arteries with such delectable cholesterol-laden scrumptiousness happen when my boss asks me to go pick up lunch for him, plops his credit card on my desk, and says "...and buy yourself a lunch, too."

Today was one of those days. :yummy:

Your post, orange&white orange&white reminds me of my dad's people who lived in Texas for a time. I was raised on those delectables, too, and I always looked forward so much to visiting my grandparents for so many reasons, not least of which was the love they surrounded me with and the amazing food my grandmother, a little woman bent over almost double from RA, prepared with so much love. Remembering them and my parents gives me so much joy. They're up there watchin', along with so many of the cats they, and I, love so much.

Meet Madeline. :) I just adopted her for Thanksgiving. According to her description, "she loves nothing more than to sit in laps and enjoy all the attention bestowed on her".

She'd make a wonderful lap cat if only they'd allow me to bring her home.:p
