Not at all @Astrael

You posted your feelings about it, that's all, we are all free to speak here.

This is a friendly cat lover's place to come and chat about anything cat related.

Different opinions is what makes the world go around :)

Glad you care for ferals too!

Saw this tread & wanted to tell a feral story!  Came home one night & saw two grey tabby huddled on my door mat.  Of course they ran when I drove in.  Trapped both the male & the female to be fixed.  The male was limping so I took him to my regular vet.  He got an antibiotic shot.  Brought them both back & as it was winter kept them in my garage longer than I should have.  After releasing them the female came back but not the male. For almost 5 years she ate on my porch almost every night.  .  Named her Nina. This drove my Rizzo crazy but I felt she had to eat.  I bought her a house but she never used it.  Too public.

Fall before last, my Rizzo got out right at her feeding time.  I didn't see it but they had a terrible fight & Rizzo lost.  Had to take him to the vet for an infection.  A few weeks later Rizzo & I were on the porch at dusk.  She came up the walk for her dinner & he chased her.  Because I was there to back him up, she ran rather than fight.  She never came back again.

I felt so bad that this had happened and was sure she was dead.  Talked with an AC & she said that she had found a nice home about a mile from my house.  The people were feeding her & very kind.  I just didn't believe this.  I thought she had been killed & the AC did not want to tell me.

Last April I got a call from my vet.  They said we have your cat here.  I said "no, he is right next to me".  They had a female, grey tabby that was microchipped to me.  When you get a cat fixed thru TNR here they microchip them & you are responsible for them for life.  I said "ok, I will come & get her but she won't stay".  They told me that some nice people had brought her in for dental work!  I was shocked because she was a true feral & I had never tried to tame her.  The people called me & described when she had shown up, that they lived about a mile from my home and that they had bought her a heated house & gradually tamed her.  I was never so happy.

The problem with AC's is that some are very talented &  some are not so talented.  I don't think they are fakes; just not skilled.  This is why there are so many mixed reviews on whether this is real or they are just picking up on what they are told.

So, I need a recommendation for a cat communicator. Voight is a bit pricey for me. I just want our sweet boy to tell us what he wants or needs us to do for him to help him heal. Or if he has other plans for his life.

There is a woman named Wendy Wolfe.  She is accurate but I don't like the way the call is handled. You email her  a photo of your cat & the questions you want answered.  Then you call her & she tells you the answers.  You cat ask some followup questions.  She is 75.00 per half hour. She is the communicator in the story above.  I don't like her as well as  because with Asia it is like having a conversation with your pet.  When you ask if there is anything your pet wants to tell/ask you, that is when you really find out things that make you a believer in Animal communicators.  Wendy can't really do this very well but she is accurate with direct questions.   There is an animal communicator directory on Penelope Smith's website.  If they are on her website they must be pretty good.  I know that people have mentioned cheaper ones somewhere but I have only used Asia & Wendy.

I use Danielle with http://www.insightwithanimals.com/

She is quite accurate and I have been using her for years.  She also records the session for you so you can go back and relisten whenever you need.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Prayerfully, we can get to the bottom of what's going on with Mr. T

Hey guys! I hope I can resurrect this thread because I have experience with acs and am looking for recommendations for a second or third one. The ac I use now is great, I’m just curious about others too.

Ive been using Gayle Nastasi. She charges $45 for a 30 minute session (or $36 if the animal is at a shelter), but I really like her system. She doesn’t ask for a payment until after the session, and if you aren’t satisfied you don’t have to pay. Now obviously if you don’t pay then don’t expect to schedule another one, but I really like this system. It’s exactly how I would do it if I was a true communicator.

I haven’t had a phone consult but I’ve had 4 online. She asks for questions and a few pictures of the animal beforehand and then types out the responses and emails them to you.

What really surprised me was my reaction whenever I read the session transcripts. The information FEELS correct, if that makes any sense. I get a strong intuitive vibe that the info is the truth.

She hasn’t said anything that made me 100% know that it’s real, but I’m not expecting her to. She’s said a couple things that would be highly unlikely for her to know though without meeting the animal. Like for one cat, she said that the cat remarked that I had soft hands, and she likes how I softly stroke her fur, not hard like other people. This is true. I learned that she didn’t like to be petted unless you were very soft and gentle. I’m not sure how she could have noticed this from the photos.

Another cat she said referred to me as her “kind human, her friend.” I found this interesting because I heard these words in my head when I was around the kitty, before the session.

So is it real? I don’t know, but I think there’s something to this. In any sense, I would highly recommend the animal communicator I used, Gayle Nastasi, because the readings gave me peace.

I saw this thread come up in my emails, and asked what communicator I had used, I went back and read my post about Destiny, and her picture.
Brought tears to my eyes, what a very special, exceptional cat she truly was.
Of course I lost her about 8 months after my post.....I still miss her.
The AC I used was Renee Gallegos. [email protected] Renee Gallegos - Animal Communicator
If you contact her, please let her know that Lisa from Cat Tales Rescue referred her. This will make her happy.

Thanks! I will consider it but wow $130 is steep. That’s the price of 3 sessions with my current communicator.

I can't find my post. However, if you search "animal communicator" and my "riley1" you will find many stories on this from me. The best way to get proof is not try to get it. Ask open ended questions like 'is there anything you want to tell me or ask me". This is when you get the best information and proof. I believe in this because I can do it myself (very poorly); just a knowing or a picture to simply questions.

I think I can as well. Not specific details but I'm very good at knowing when to leave (before a cat gets overstimulated), or what it is that they want. I also have had a few times where specific phrases came into my head when thinking about a cat, that was later echoed by an ac. Like one time when I was thinking of a kitty named Pepper and the phrase "my kind human. my friend" came into my head. Had a session with an ac and she said the exact same thing.

I should also note that I looked into Sonya Fitzpatrick, who is probably the biggest name communicator besides Penelope Smith. I listened to a few episodes of her show.

I personally think she's full of crap. She may have been a communicator at one time but now she's just milking it for money. She charges $300 for a 30 minute session. That's $600 an hour, and $1.2m yearly when extrapolated over 40 hours and a full year. If she really wants to help people, why is she charging so much?

When I was listening to her show and she was giving impromptu readings for people calling in, my intuition was SCREAMING "BULLCRAP!" Like this lady is full of crap and just making stuff up. She's sort of accurate because of experience but there's no way she's actually connecting after 3 seconds without never seeing or hearing the animal. At least if she had a photo, it would make some sense. But my intuition is usually correct and it was SCREAMING that she was wrong. So much so, I actually felt something in my stomach.

Anything "psychic" is bullpucky. Science has never found anything even resembling paranormal things. These people, like card readers, tea leaf readers, astrologers and others of their ilk, are frauds. Extraordinairy claims require extraordinairy proof and there is none.

I started this thread over 3 years ago. It brings back a lot of memories for me. My beloved feral cat, Muffin, passed away in March 2016. I still feel his presence with me sometimes. We had a deeply spiritual connection.

There is a lot that modern science cannot fully explaine. It's best not dismiss ot rule out the possibility of that which cannot be fully explained scientifically or medically. It's also best if that we respect each other's belief systems even if there are areas of disagreement or scepticism.

Hmm.

This is a fascinating topic.

My initial impulse is to scream fraud, but I think it's better to ask what, exactly, would knowing all this past life really accomplish?

I have a cat who appears to have been traumatized. (Big Boy, pictured below.) He's not a feral, but I think was forced to live like one. I think he's been traumatized because he's nervous about so many things most happy housecats take in stride. If I laugh or sneeze loudly, he runs from the room. He'll find a hiding place and refuse to come out, even when sprayed with water, requiring that you get in there and bodily force him out. He's very meek and timid, though he appears to be coming out of that. He cries in thunderstorms, or when he had to be given ear mite meds. He stays in the house; once he fell out a window and it took more than a week to coax him back. He doesn't eat little animals or even people food, but is strictly a cat food eater, so I'm sure he was very hungry.

What if he isn't traumatized, but just "a bit mental"? I know people with mental health problems and sometimes there's not much you can do except accept and accommodate by way of helping, if you can, if they let you, and if they don't destroy those around them. Big Boy's been a peach in that regard: no jumping on counters, no peeing all over the place, no more than the usual routine scratching.

Of course I've lost my heart to him, and I let him sleep with me at night and also help me with my evening reading before going to bed. He obviously appreciates affection and even lets me belly-rub him.

Thanks to all for providing an intelligent forum.

Hi Doomsdave
I used an animal communicator a few times, mostly to try to communicate with an outdoor feral that I was caring for on my porch. I was unable to trap Muffin to neuter him, and I desperately wanted him to choose to live inside my home. I never asked about his past, I guess my focus was on the present. Some of what the communicator said felt insightful, and when Muffin passed, I found some peace in her words about his peace and love for me. Was it a hundred percent accurate? Probably not. But it was a piece of the puzzle of my care for him during our time together. Over the years I cared for him we developed a telepathy of our own apart from the communicator, which I believe naturally occurs between pets and their caregivers.

It's great that you're caring for Big Boy, he's a beauty. It sounds like you've provided him with a great home, and you know what you need to know to care for him. I would only advise against spraying him with water as a method to bring him out of hiding--that will only stress him and make him more fearful. You could consider purchasing a cat tree for him if you can afford one. They cost about $80 on Amazon or Ebay. I have a 6 foot tree and the cats love it for the height and because they can hide in the cubby holes. Some cats remain skittish their entire lives. Four of my five cats hide upstairs underneath my bed when I have company, until they get to know the person well. And my cat Harry gets startled and jumps in the air and runs whenever I sneeze, it's kind of funny. They're a little odd and I'm a little odd, so we make for good company for each other lol.

Thanks for the reply!

I've got five cats (including Big Boy), and three trees, none of which Big Boy likes to use. He does like to sit on windowsills, and look out, but never tries to run out the door. I think he was so paranoid that he just ran at everyone's approach until he got so hungry he cried and my roommate heard him.

I think, possibly, that the real issue for Big Boy is getting along with the other cats. I think he might be happier in a house where he's the only cat, but there's no way to prove that.
