Don't know who these belong too, But, I know who wants one.
For those who don't know him, basscat basscat is... well... he's a little off. I store my special pointy-nosed cats in the woods at the end of the property - not on my sofa!

The Family had sarcoptic mange seven years ago, but with a few cases of dog food, some Ivermectin, and great veterinary advice, six of seven survived and thrived. They were skittish at first, but over time - and feeding them at dusk every evening for seven years - they became less wary. The territory has "changed hands" from Mother to Daughter now, and PointyNose has taken over for The White Tipped Fox, and I'm as accustomed to them as they are to me.

In Spring, Mom lets me pet the kits, and she does like a scratch behind the ears when she's finished her evening meal, but I'd never invite her to come in to sleep on the sofa and eat my recliner like some unnamed people might.

You can smell our red ones before you see them. LOL
The little gray ones are the ones we really like to see. I think it strange our black domestic isn't the least bit afraid or concerned with gray foxes. She will just sit in one place and watch them as they come over real close to her and check her out.
Neither of them care the other is there.

I don't have any pets other than Charlie for now (lousy lease), but along with the other cats, my family has had-

an aquarium, with so many fish we never bothered to name any

a brown and white hamster named Mittens. For the life of me, I can't remember why we called her that. She didn't have any markings that suggested mittens :dunno:

a chocolate lab named Ellie. We bought her from a shop in Baltimore called Just Puppies. I was almost thirteen, and had never heard of puppy mills, much less their connection to pet shops. It was an innocent mistake I won't be repeating, but Ellie was a sweetheart

another chocolate lab named Sammi (after Ellie was gone.) Dad kept her after the divorce (he was really her human, anyway.) She passed on earlier this year

a beagle-mix named Gracie. We think the other part of the mix was Jack Russell, and that's a *dreadful* combination. She proved impossible to train, and was insanely jealous of the cats

and a mantle Great Dane named Oscar. I only count him as a former pet because I've since moved out. We had initially called him Rocco, but we all had trouble remembering it for some reason (I for one kept saying Roscoe.) Turned out Rocco didn't fit his personality. I associate the name Oscar with "lovable slob", and that describes him perfectly

I took this pic of Oscar a month or two ago. When we got him, the breeder gave us two stuffed animals for him. They lasted for months until he finally figured out how to destroy them. Stuffed animals are now out of the question, and his ropes and balls don't last as long as they used to either

I've always had a zoo - never have been without a cat or a horse or fish. Was without a dog for a measly two years, but have another now! Recently lost my Dalmatian pup at 17 weeks old to parvo. Rehomed my Blue Heeler mix due to increased aggression with anything male, but he's doing great and lives on a farm that my friend owns. Showed rabbits and horses for years, and really enjoy it.
Horses, parakeets, cats, rabbits, dogs and fish were usually all I've ever had at one time - throw in a few fancy mice, hamsters, snakes, lizards and for a confusing and fleeting time, a chicken called Daisy who I was quite fond of. Love all of my furbabies.

Me too, he was really my sun, my moon, and my stars. I miss him everyday, but boy, he was a walking medical disaster... as many Dals are.

The black chicken (see picture) was beheaded during the night. :frown: I can't believe it... I was not aware of the presence of possible predators in this area. I'll try to find out what happened.
:frown: I am so sorry you had to find this. What a horrible thing to discover. Do you have the top of the pen covered with chicken wire? Do you have a night cam you can put out there? My sister lost chickens to unknown night pests as well. So very sorry. :bawling::sniffle: She ended up doubling up the wire on the roof of the pen to try to keep the pests out.

I was shocked when I found her !!! That poor little thing just started laying eggs ...
I asked a nature conservation association for help; I will lock the two
that are left in their coop during the night.
