It's Eclipse Day!!
For those of us in the US anyway. There is so much talk about it right now I've decided I will not ask an eclipse related question. :lol2: So um... *crickets* Ok the other big question of the season:

Are you ready for pumpkin-spice-everything-season!? :cool2:

I'm so torn myself. I will probably get pumpkin spice coffee once or twice but not till things cool off a bit and after September 1st. I might get some creamer for home. Last year I found pumpkin spice chapstick. And cheerios. I think it's overdone. My Mom and I make a pumpkin chocolate chip cake that is always a big hit but I'll do that anytime. I guess it will be nice to find some things. But I'm not going to go out and gorge on all things pumpkin like it's not available the rest of the year! :p

I like pumpkin pie. And occasionally a pumpkin pie spice latte, if it's not too sweet (Starbucks yes, McDonald's no). Other than that, no. Ick. There are not many things that require allspice and cloves.

I love pumpkin anything. Coffee, creamer, latte, cookies, pie, custard etc..
If it's pumpkin, I'm there.

I don't like anything pumpkin. Giant Food here used to have good pumpkin donuts but that was years ago.

Pumpkin Spice really isn't a big thing in Japan. I think Starbucks might be the only place you can get anything pumpkinny.

I like pumpkin soup. It's one of the few things I can make myself.

Um, no. I love pumpkin in pies, bread, muffins, and cookies. It has no business being in coffee....that's just wrong.

Don't like it in coffee. I do enjoy pumpkin pie, pumpkin donuts. But 1 or 2 during the entire season is plenty for me; just say I had some!

I also feel the pumpkin spice thing is overdone. It is in everything! everywhere you look!

When it was a rarity, I really enjoyed it; but now, I can do without it.

I have my Yankee Candle of Pumpkin Spice, and perhaps a Latte from Starbucks, and a Pumpkin Spice loaf cake, but that is about it... nothing else.

After a while, it begins to get a fake taste in my mouth.

Dislike pumpkin to eat or drink.
Kind of like the pumpkin spice smell though. But I can live without it.

My daughter sent me a pumpkin chocolate chip bread recipe that I have baked several times. It's not only simple to prepare but tastes so wonderful. :yummy:

I'm a fellow pumpkin spice lover! Whether it's pies, muffins, cookies or lattes, count me in. Pumpkin spiced pancakes are the best!

Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Pumpkin bread. PSLs, whether from Starbucks for 4$ or Speedway for 1$. Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin-scented candles. Pumpkin muffins. Pumpkin cake with pumpkin cream cheese frosting. I also want the crunchy leaves on sidewalks; the lopsided pumpkins at the back end of the patch; the fresh cider, mulled and otherwise; the sweet "grateful" and "gather" decorations, autumnal wreaths, hot cocoa; seeing your breath in the mornings; bonfires; crappy yard decorations; hayrides; horses and ponies starting to get fluffy; pumpkin carving (last year I free-handed Grumpy Cat, and it turned out adorable); chunky knit sweaters; beanies; the SMELL of fall; Headless Horseman nights at Conner Prairie; Covered Bridge festivals; etc. etc. etc. GIVE ME FALL. GIVE IT!!

The only seasonally-available thing that's better is eggnog, which I will consume in copious amounts, pour into everything, and hoard like some sort of eggnog dragon.

Don't forget pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin cappuccino.
My mom makes a pumpkin bread (more of a cake) that's awesome.
Up here, they don't have pumpkin all year, so I have to get my fix when I can.

Hannafords makes these great pumpkin muffins-so moist and soft. I don't drink coffee so not sure if I would like coffee or creamer etc.

I haven't experimented much with dessert foods with pumpkin. I am kind of picky. I love vanilla and not much else unless strawberry/raspberry. I guess I will have to try it.

As far as fall-I am READY. Dug out my heavy sweaters last night-I so love fall-layers means I can cover up what I don't want to show. Hay rides, bomb fires, drinking alcohol around the fire. COOL temps.

I like to carve pumpkins and roast the seeds. That's about it. Is there any actual pumpkin in a pumpkin spice latte or is it just the pumpkin pie spice? It just seems like an odd combination to me. My taste buds are confused by it. I've considered trying one then they ask me, "can't we just get caramel or mocha?" I reply, "yeah. that's probably for the best".

Just pumpkin pie spices. Which somehow became "pumpkin spice" and sometimes just "pumpkin", even though it has nothing to do with pumpkins, lol.

Making a pie with sweet potatoes or acorn squash, using the same spices as pumpkin pie, works just as well. I actually like sweet potato pie better; it has a richer texture.

I like pumpkin bread but it doesn't need to have pumpkin pie spice in it.
