I've been taking her temperature with an ear thermometer while she's asleep and she doesn't even move, so I'm sure it doesn't bother her. I've been taking it once daily and it has been steadily decreasing.

No need in a lost cost spay or neuter clinic, but I appreciate the help.
Taking the temp in the ear is definitely less bothersome, but may still not provide useful information to you. Just don't rely on it too much.

Please know that mom can get pregnant again within a week of delivery, and without going into heat. Dad will still be fertile for up to a month after his neuter. Do you know when you're planning to set his appointment?

Her vet suggested I could use this technique because many people have had success with it, including herself. Her temperature this morning is 100.0, the lowest it has been yet. It was 102.4 2 weeks ago when I started tracking it.

Her vet recommended me to attempt to track her progress this way since I want to be present for the birth and in her experience this is almost always a reliable tool. Her temperature was 102.4 about 2 weeks ago when I began tracking it, each day it has either maintained or gone down a little. Today it's 100.0, the lowest it has been so far.

I understand this site advocates getting your pet fixed and I fully understand and respect that. In almost all circumstances I feel that's necessary. However, Jibanyon will not be neutered at this time as we are considering allowing him and Constance to breed again in the future. It depends entirely on this experience. Constance is CFA registered, disease negative and up to date on shots. Jibanyon is TICA registered, disease negative and up to date on shots. I have homes already arranged for the babies (waiting lists). They will be spayed/neutered before adoption, up to date on shots and given a clean bill of health from my veterinarian. I am financially prepared for any veterinary emergencies and educated myself before I decided to do this. With all the facts I received from people who run registered catteries, veterinarians etc, I admit it has still been a scary experience for me. I'm just glad this site exists because it eases my mind about things. Jibanyon will be kept in a different part of our home until Constance is ready to breed again. We do not want her to have more than 2 litters in a year. If she has a bad experience with this then she'll be spayed as soon as the vet says it's safe and practical to do so.

Sounds good! Most breeders only breed once a year though. It allows for sufficient recovery time for mom to be at optimal health for the next go round. :)
Her veterinarian said I should not allow her to go into heat too many times without being bred, it could cause health problems. She has instructed me on how to monitor her and will be helping me through that process. Needless to say she may end up having another litter before the year is up, but her vet says she almost always recommends 8 to 12 months for Siamese queens.

It sounds like you have an excellent vet who is on top of all things in the cat department. You are very fortunate. :)

We're certainly blessed to have her. She owns and breeds Siamese cats herself, so I feel like we're in good hands.

Constance has spent most of the day sleeping and eating. After yesterday I thought she'd be in labor or have the kittens by now. She is keeping us on our toes. They'll come when she's ready, we'd rather wait than have them be premature.

Siamese cats tend to have longer pregnancies - up to 70-72 days even. :)

Very true. We do not know the exact date of conception, it could have been as early as May 10. Today she has been nesting a lot, so I'd say they'll come fairly soon.

I got some shocking news today that is really upsetting. The place I boarded my kitties at saw an unaltered feral male get into the room they were in via a torn screen and he raped my Constance. I cannot believe they waited this long to tell me! :-( She could have been exposed to some type of disease and these kittens may not have been fathered by my Jibanyon.

Queen Constance's belly has dropped even lower today. Her temperature was 99.8 this morning. She has slept most of the day, but is pacing tonight. All interest in dry food is completely gone, normally she nibbles on it several times throughout the day. However, she ate her usual morning wet food, her afternoon treats and evening canned food. She is becoming moody towards the kitten we're fostering, which is not normal for her. She has also been clawing the carpets and rugs which is also not her typical. She has visited her nursery more today than she has prior and made burrows in the towels. We're hoping to meet the babies soon as she looks so uncomfortable.

Poor girl...that's so terrible for her. Glad she has you. Her belly does look low! My Velma's belly is hanging today too. Hopefully it won't be long for either of us. My birthday is Saturday, and l would totally share my day with some baby kitties.

I am so sorry to hear about the incident with the feral cat. That must have been a bad experience for your cat. It's very upsetting, not to mention there is now the question of paternity.

It does sound as though she may be moving into early stages of labor. I hope things progress well.

Keep us posted.

I'm absolutely devastated for her. I was told my Jibanyon attacked him and they do not believe the mating was successful due to how quickly he was chased off. He is a solid black cat, so I guess we will soon know if the feral fathered these babies. Either way I already love them and they'll recieve the exact same care as they would had Jibanyon fathered them. I'm just concerned about disease transmission. My birthday is on the 25TH. :-D Wouldn't it be neat if our girls gave birth on our birthdays? I don't think Constance will last another week though. I decided to take her temperature tonight and it's 98.9. I was just doing it every morning, but figured I'd monitor it more closely now since it's under 100 degrees.

Feral cats tend to be amazingly healthy. They have to be to survive.

Since your cat is vaccinated she should be protected against disease.

Your vet can advise you further as to any potential risks to her or the kittens.

We will not be taking any legal action because this is a relative and they seem genuinely upset this happened and made sure after the incident that no other cats could get in. I only wish I'd been notified immediately. I feel awful for Constance, hopefully she's okay emotionally.

I'm about to head to bed and she'll be closed in with me. I have set an alarm for 2 hours from now so I can monitor her.

Cats don't have emotional attachments to mates or sex, so she shouldn't have long term consequences in that regard

Mating is not generally a pleasant experience for female cats, but I really do think she's going to be fine. This is much worse if you look at it with your human lens.

Yes, that's true, they usually don't, I just imagine it was probably scary for her. She's a pretty small cat (7 pounds before pregnant) and from what I was told the male was really vicious to her. I'm just glad my Jibanyon was there and chased him off. He's a big boy (just turned 12 months and weighs 14 pounds despite being lean), probably the tallest Siamese cat I've ever seen. Both of his parents are big cats, so we figured he probably will be too.

Jibanyon's mother is a seal point Balinese (long haired Siamese), his father a red point. He is medium haired. Constance's' mother is a blue point Siamese and her father a lilac point Balinese. I just got to thinking last night that we may end up with a long haired kitten. Her temperature is 98.8 this morning, the lowest I've seen so far. She is being very grumpy this morning, walking around growling. I've never seen her do that before. I have moved the 2 foster kittens so I don't have to worry she'll be mean to them. They're only 5 weeks old.
