I've introduced myself and was pointed to this thread to post some pics of Oliver so some of them are reproduced here. He's a big boy Maine Coon who is full of love and cuddles. The one of him next to a chair shows his size quite well because it's a normal sized chair not a kiddy one.View attachment 189116 View attachment 189117 View attachment 189118 View attachment 189119 View attachment 189120 View attachment 189121 View attachment 189122 View attachment 189123

Oliver is gorgeous. How big is he? Have you ever measured him as he was stretching? My cat Luciano is 39" tip of front paw to tip of back paw when stretching, but only 13.5 lbs. I think Oliver might be 50" & no idea what he might weigh under all that hair.

He weighs about 20lbs and not an ounce of excess fat but I haven't measured him yet. I must do that.

Oliver is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I am new and just posted a question if my Callie, seen in my profile picture with my Orange Tabby. Callie is just a year old and I wonder if she has any Maine Coon in her. I have been asked by so many that have seen her. She has a mane, long tufts between her toes and her fur is shaggy and long up around her neck and then gets closer and sleek then full again and she has the pantaloons and very long fluffy tail. Her body in general is long when she stretches out. She eats like a horse too! I was wondering how long it took for all of Oliver's features to fully develop. I hear Maine Coons don't fully develop at one year as most cats do. Any info you can share to help me determine more about my Callie is appreciated. Thanks!

AWD0866 AWD0866 Hi, wow she's absolutely beautiful but I'm not qualified to give a breed. There will be a couple of others that will in due course.
As far as Oliver is concerned, thank you for your kind words. However, I will not be of much help because I've only had him a few weeks. I bought the big fella fully grown at ten yrs old. You're right though, they can take up to 4-5 years to fully develop.
I also have an 8 month old cat that the experts on here think has some Siberian influence in him and as they are also one of the bigger breeds I will be posting pics on here during his development. He's called Chubchub so if you look at my posts you'll find him and a couple of vids of him and Oliver.
You'll love it this site. It's very friendly with some knowledgeable and supportive folks.
