Tom Cats Loitering Again..

hi all, I'm new here but have been reading loads of posts the past week or so.
My girl is 64 days (I'm guessing - day 1 to me was the day I realised she was definitely in season - tom cats calling all hours) pregnant.
She's HUGE considering she's such a small girl.
We were away from Saturday and my friend called me to say Bella seemed different so I drove home and stayed last night and am travelling back to my husband and children later today (she's well looked after and hubby is coming back to home tomorrow as needs to go back to work)
We only have 3 more days left of our little jaunt..

Anyway I'll get back to the point..
For the past week at night she's shut into my bedroom with a huge box read, litter tray food water etc

Last night though she woke me repeatedly purring and wanting lots of fuss, lying on her back. I could feel the kittens moving but no contractions (she's never been vocal - even in season she didn't make a sound)

She's eating like a horse too.

The past few days my friend confirms and I've seen today lots of new toms coming to the back gate (they peer underneath).

Is this a sign labour is impending?

I'm desperate not to miss it and I go back to work Monday :-o

They think she is in heat, and will likely be around through her nursing days as well. The toms are picking up the scent of her pregnancy hormones, which are the same ones she gives off when she's in heat. There's no way for them to know the difference.

Will you be keeping her inside after she has the kittens (no back yard excursions), and getting her spayed when this litter is 8 weeks old?

She won't be going out again until she's spayed.

We always planned on a litter for her so we can keep 1 or 2 (we already have 3 older cats -13,12,11) so she needed a friend to play with when the others have gone :-(

I thought that might be the case about the smell - they've not ventured in and she only goes out to lie in the sun then comes back in and belly flops on the cold floor.

Poor lamb! I remember being 9 months pregnant during a very hot August! She looks as fed up as I did then

She's a gorgeous cat love the grey that's what Cat I want next but I think 4 is enough at the moment lol

I have 4 plus whatever we keep of hers

Awwww I have 2 momma cats with me at the moment 1 of the mommas has 1 baby and the other momma has 2 along with my own 4 cats so we very full at the moment lol and I'd keep them all if I could I also have 4 children good luck with your momma and babies keep us updated when she has them

Please do consider getting the kittens spayed and neutered before they go to their new homes. It's a wonderful way to help them start their lives as happy and healthy pets, and there is such an overwhelming overpopulation problem.

I would not let her outside at all. God forbid she births outside.

The back door is always open and she runs in at the site of a fly!
She sits on the patio and sun bathes.
She even runs in now for a wee rather than using the garden

She needs to stay inside from now until she is spayed. You don't want to risk her having the kittens outside. Many moms have the instinct to hide.

So today is day 66 by my dates (from when I thought Bella went into season) and thanks to this site I feel I'm ready for the kittens whenever they arrive!

I think it must be soon as our other cats - particularly a neutered Tom (Freddie) is now hissing and growling at her so we've now segregated her into a HUGE box in our bedroom completely.

I have a head pad arriving today (I have 2 jobs and one is baking so have a great set of scales ;-)) I have KMR and some syringes and he husband has listened to my every instruction for the 'what ifs'.

On Wednesday (its Friday 8am nearly here in UK) she was so affectionate lying on her back wanting belly rubs then literally ripping my hand apart with teeth and claws the next so I think she's very fed up now (having 5 human babies all at 42 weeks pregnant I feel her pain )

She's bigger one side so I'm going for 3 kittens..

I'll post on here when she does and weights (is grams better - I've seen grams and oz?)

Here she is - she sunbathes on the patio or did until Wednesday and is now in until she's spayed.

my other 3 cats are black and white - all tuxedo cats so she's different ;-)
She's grey, very slight and she's 14 months old. Bella has a slight tabby pattern to her tail (darker grey rings) and tabby marks to her back legs but depends on the angle and lighting!

bless her she looks fed up and huge today.
The belly is sooo low and there's loads of clearly visible movement. I can pet her but her belly is a no no - her back legs come up and she doesn't like it especially if near her nipples - I'm guessing they are super sensitive now?
No milk leaking and nothing else happening other than her sitting on top her special box!

And I'll point out for some reason there's a penny coin on the bathroom floor next to her

Wow babies are having a disco in her tummy today!
I don't think they've actually stopped

She's very feisty and grumpy today!
No excessive grooming just the normal!

We finish our school holidays tomorrow and I go back to work Monday! I put money on 2am Monday morning so I'm shattered going back to work

Things do seem to happen that way at times!

Well she's started venturing in her eating box (it's 2.20pm now) and in the last hour she's been in and out twice and every time she goes in she purrs her little heart out
She's also started pulling at the area around her nipples and finally grooming her belly and back end so who knows ( I have 5 babies all ranging from 8-16 days later than their due date )
I'm waiting for our awful wifi to upload a video of her belly moving!
I'm fascinated by it! Just like I used to be with my human babies! It's simply incredible really!
