(Random trivia fact - cougars are classified as small cats, not large cats.  Pretty freaking big for a small cat.)

(Unfortunately a daily occurrence here.  I'm about ready to hang the t-shirts in the closet instead.)

I especially like the one of the dog trying to oblige with some string...

I would never allow a large full-grown dog access to kittens.  They don't seem to realize how big they are in relation to the kittens and I wouldn't want a kitten hurt.

I really think it depends on the dog.  All of these dogs seemed to be totally cool with the kittens, or, at worst, bewildered by them.  I know a dog who mostly just lies there -- if he met a kitten he would ignore it.  But the dogs I've been owned by?  Nope.  Not one of them would I have trusted with kittens.

My grandparents and great-grandparents lived right next to each other and basically had barn cats.  Life expectancy not good.  One of the deaths was when my great-grandfather's black lab was playing with a bunch of kittens and stepped on a board that a kitten had gotten under.  Not vicious, not disliking cats, just didn't understand that he was a lot bigger than his playmates.

Also didn't understand about the dangerous situation the kitten was in.  And I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.

In the video, it was all supervised play (has to have been -- someone was holding the cameras), in a safe environment.  I think that's a good deal different.

I wouldn't allow supervised play. All it takes is for the dog to step wrong one time and that would happen too fast for someone to intervene even if close with a camera.

The cat should be a lot bigger than a kitten if a large dog is going to be allowed as a playmate.

Well, you can save the picture to your computer, buy some transfer paper for printers, and make your own!  That's what I'm going to do!  If I may ask, are you an American or English person living in France, or is your English just phenomenally good?

And now for today's offerings:

I may have posted the above already, but it is funny enough to see twice, for my vote!

This, also,  could end up in my wardrobe as a tee shirt!
