YES!  Unlimited and free.  Check out googlephotos.  You may love it!  I know I do. It's easy and quick to download and you can then do all of the things you love to do with photos, including sharing them here on the site.

Cucumella has decided she will only lie down in bed  against my chest and, of course facing me. If I turn round she refuses to face my back, then either she comes round to the otherside of the bed or she hits my back with her paws until I turn round again. All that accompanied by  throat noises in protestation.

That is so amazing with the different personalities of these kitties.

Some are affectionate and there are others who are just happy

with food, water, shelter.

Artie likes to bum touch.. his bum to mine!! very strange.. or his spine to my spine.

I sleep on my side 99% of the time.

If I am on my back, he is in the crook of my arm/elbow

Sameeeee! My kitten simply does not want to sleep with me (she wanders of somewhere as I am falling asleep) but every morning without an exception she comes up to purr and get cuddles. Best feeling ever.

Does your cat sleep with you at night?

Do you like it or dislike it?

Do you believe what some doctors say is true, that sleeping with your pet can lead to health problems?

Where does your cat sleep in your bed?

Why do you think cats do this?

FYI, All of my cats sleep in my bed  =)
Yes, all three.

I love it. Love snuggling with them.

Yes, it does. It can cause any cat allergies (as in your or your partner's allergies to cats) to be worse. It can deprive you of sleep (and you won't even know you're being woken up by your cats every time because oftentimes you fall right back to sleep--but this still messes up your sleep patterns, keeping you from going into all of the sleep cycles). Lack of good quality sleep can cause you to be prone to excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS), contribute to cardiovascular issues, and weight gain.

Pepper sleeps in the crook of my arm with her head on my shoulder or next to me with her head on my shoulder. Tater Tot sleeps next to me and puts either his front paws or his head on my shoulder (opposite side of his sister Pepper). Pie loves to sleep in the crook of my legs.

I'm lucky. My cats have trained themselves to my sleep pattern, so we all go to sleep together (and they do not like it when that schedule is interrupted. They fuss and let me know. Lol!). I'm not really sure why they do this, but for mine I think it's because they were bottle babies that I fed. I think they are sorta still in a kitten phase and need to sleep with mom for security. Or maybe it's just a security thing? Really not sure. I just know that they have spoiled me for any future cats I get as I will want them to sleep with me, too. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I welcome it if it means they'll shut up in the middle of the night! lol

But seriously, I do allow it and actively encourage them to sleep in our bed. My girl Miko has developed this habit where she'll walk around meowing constantly until I call her over and lift up the covers for her. She goes right inside and curls up against my stomach. It's the best.

As for the health concerns... I figure if the cats are unsanitary, then whatever they've got to spread has already spread to me. I mean, I clean their litter box, I prepare their food, they walk on all the furniture, we cuddle constantly, etc. There's no way that keeping them out of the bed would make any difference. Plus, they're indoor only, so I'm even less concerned.

Honeybee on my lap, music playing in background
Honeybee sleeps on my chest or my lap or between my legs..this morning it was on my chest and I like to sleep on my side but it's been months since I have..I don't want her to not have her mommy to sleep on. When it's cold she likes it when I cover her with her Honeybee Blanket- it's a red plush velvety soft fleece throw I bought her back in 2013? She always curls up in it and makes biscuits in it. That's the only time I can get her to purr and it's a very quiet purr..I don't think she even knew how to purr until a month after she was with us. Sleeping with my cat is the one thing I look forward to everyday.

I recently adopted an adult cat from a shelter and he's been with me for 2 1/2 months. He used to get on the bed curl up near my feet sometime in the early morning. But that was when he first came home (and after the small adjusting period). But now he sleeps on the floor outside my room, right next to the front door on the door mat. From there he can see me and waits for me to wake up and go to the bathroom in the morning to come up to me. For the past couple of days he's taken to sleeping on the floor right in the middle of the house in the space that connects the living room and the dining room for the first part of the night before coming back to the door for the rest of the night. I used to think he doesn't like me that much anymore but I figured out he just likes to change his sleeping spots. But mostly he prefers to sleep on the cool marble floor (might have something to do with me living in India so it's hot here).

But I would let him sleep on my bed any time. In fact, if he is lying down anywhere but at the door when I am about to go to sleep, I lie down next to him for a while and he curls up to me, holding me like a little kid.

Side note, I think he doesn't sleep on the bed anymore because he likes to stretch out when he sleeps and I sleep on a single, so the big cat that he is, he doesn't have much space, I guess. 'Cause sometimes in the middle of the night he gets onto my parents bed for an hour or two and they have a bed that is larger than a Californian King.

Maybe you can place a chest or something sturdy next to your bed that is big enough for him and same height as your bed and cover it with some comfortable blanket. This way your kitty is up next to you with his own space and he can stretch out while he sleeps.

I'll try that but I think he'll only come sleep next to me when he wants to. He also has a habit of changing sleeping spots and just the past couple of days he has taken to sleeping in a new spot. He even changes his day time hangout spots. I wonder why that is? Anyway, I hope he rotates and gets on my bed again.
Side note, I think I also spoil him a little by going to where he sleeps for a few minutes at night to cuddle with him so does he expect me to come to him?

It is normal for them to change sleeping spots especially the day time hangouts. My boy never sleeps on my bed in the day. He chooses where he likes to sleep.
Sleeping on the bed with you is a matter of night time routine. Try it out every time in the night when it's time for you to go to bed. If he's sleeping elsewhere, go to him and carry him in to your room, close the door and place him on the bed. As long as he does not meows to get out, let him be. Let him get use to sleep when and where you sleep.

Aw I'm so jealous of all the people that can sleep with their kitties! I've had my kitty for a month now, he's the first cat I've had for almost 10 years and I'm afraid I got so used to not having a cat in my bed that I just couldn't do it now. We've tried putting several types of beds in our room for him but he won't even sit in any of them! Then I tried sleeping the the spare room with him but he just wouldn't let me sleep for more than half an hour at a time. Apparently night time is party time! He bites my hands/feet/ears/nose, runs all around the bed, tried to curl up on my face and crawls all over the bedside tables and knocks everything off.

Unfortunately after 2 weeks of barely any sleep we decided to shut him out of our room at night. He seems fine with this. When I get up in the morning he's chilling on the couch, he sees me and runs over for a cuddle then cries at me to feed him. I'm considering getting a little friend so he's got a playmate and cuddle buddy for the coming winter - but I'm afraid that even with 2 kitties we won't be able to have them in our room at night. Maybe when they are older and less inclined to play/attack us/knock things over it would be an option?

~ I think cats always do better with company. We always had several and they became part of the family .

My family has had both multiple and single cats in the past, neither really did better than the other. We had 2 cats from a young age that hated each other, two that only tolerated each other, 2 that liked each other but adjusted fine to being apart (due to a breakup), a single cat that hated everyone and everything except me and mum, a single cat that loved everyone and came on car rides and holidays with us, and a cat that went from a stray, to double, to single then to a quadruple that was the most lovely smoochy cat ever. I think it all comes down to the individual cat, that's why I want to try foster a second cat first [emoji]128522[/emoji] and back to the topic I think with 2 cats there would be even less chance of having them in our bedroom at night [emoji]128516[/emoji] I can imagine it going from a single party to a rave very quickly... As I type this Pebble is running around and over my bed like a lunatic, it's almost 11pm so I'll have to put him to bed soon.
