thanks margret i needed to hear that!
Thanks Margret. He seems to be doing a bit better today. He's still eliminating outside the box, so I suggested getting some disposable litter boxes and put them around where he is going. They have a big house and maybe he thinks he can't make it to the one they have there right now. Poor guy, but at least he fought me a bit while checking his blood sugar. He didn't fight me at all last night.Poor baby. I hope his mama makes it back in time.

Ha ha, would not have thought of Ruby but she is such a great character! That is awesome! We wanted to name Ruby, Tiffany instead. But It just didn't fit her.
It felt a bit odd naming a dainty little cat (she is 7 pounds) after a troll. But it does fit her well.Ha ha, would not have thought of Ruby but she is such a great character!
You tell it, sister!
I'm a little "hippish" today. Ya know, getting old is NOT for sissies. You gotta be tough. At some point, when it doesn't hurt to sit in my office chair (which is a student chair, and gives my hip fits), I'll rant about that for a bit.
Ouch. Trying to be productive while hurting is the business of heroes. [emoji]128077[/emoji] I hope your kitties appreciate you. Stay safe and warm in the snow!
I'm trying to rest my wrenched knee and still get some housework done. I cleaned out one litter pan, but will have to let the two in the basement go for another day. Going up and down stairs is extremely painful. Our big snew just started, so I will have to wait until Monday to go to the grocery. It's supposed to snow all night, all day tomorrow, and into Sunday night. Up to 10 inches is forecast for the burbs. So I won't be going any where, and when I do, I will be wearing Yaktrax.
We went to the grocery store when hubby picked me up from work around 5:30 pm. It was really crowded. We would not have gone today if I had not been at work. I hope your knee feels better soon. I love that show! The show gets a little lost after season 5 because the original writer quit after his 5 season plan was over (Supernatural was originally only supposed to have 5 seasons but it was so popular, CW renewed it). But the show is still pretty good. Just not as good as it was. I recently watched up to the end of season 11 on Netflix so I've seen all but the current season.I'm feeling quite well stuffed. John poked a lasagna in the oven and brought me a big plate of it loaded with cottage cheese. I love lasagna and cottage cheese.
A new pet store opened here. We went to check it out. It's ok, I guess. I could probably get anything they have cheaper online. But, its something new.
John and I have been binge watching Supernatural. Started at the beginning and we just started on Season 4. I love this show. And I can't help drooling over Dean and Sam. Those boys are yummy!
I'd only seen a couple of episodes. I haven't had cable or satellite or anything for years. Eating was more important that tv. Haha. But I liked the episodes I'd seen and when I found it on netflix, I got really excited and we started making our way through.I love that show! What did the doctor say? Or did the weather keep you from going?

The new pet shop I mentioned? They have this little kit that guarantees to train cats to use the toilet in 8 weeks or your money back. *shrugs* Might be something to look into.
Well, I'm not a litter expert, but it almost sounds as if she's trying out water because she's seen the toilet flushing. I don't normally recommend trying to toilet train cats, but in this case I wonder whether that would make her more comfortable?
Margret
When Ra was a kitten, he tried to toilet train himself--and AWM saw him sprawled across the toilet lid (he wasn't nearly as big then as he is now) and laughed at him. He used litter until, like the other, he discovered pine needles. (I'm not complaining. We've got six pine trees in the yard, so I have nothing against the cats using the straw at the base of the trees instead of the litter box. Does make me wonder why we spent almost two hundred dollars on litter training them and keeping up with the boxes, though.) So--how do you toilet train a cat? And how can I tell if she's more comfortable doing that than using litter or pine needles?
