Or cat Ally has several bumps on the inside of one of her back legs some of them are not round, but long looking, very strange, but we're worried sick  it might be cancer.  she's only 8, she is very active and eats very well no symptoms that she is sick, she's always had come and go bumps on her bellie that the vet said wasn't any big deal, but they don't look like the ones on her  her leg.I'm hoping someone that has seen these before,  can fill us in. She has an appointment  with the vet in couple of weeks. View media item 380461

I really think you need to get your kitty to the vet ASAP.

Welcome to TCS and sorry that it's under these circumstances.

I agree about taking her in much much sooner. Call your vet and describe the situation and if possible, send pictures. I'm not a vet but it looks to me like the skin is broker, so regardless of the initial cause, she's at risk for infection. It could be something that's easy to treat now but will create complications if not addresses right away.

I would insist on her being seen by a vet today. All vets can find time for emergencies and lesions fall under that category. Please let us know what the vet says.

I can't help but comment on this again. I used to work in a veterinary hospital and while I'm not a veterinarian, I was an assistant. Open lesions must be addressed promptly. Once there is an opening like that, it becomes the perfect environment for infection. Your cat also has to be in pain. Cats mask pain very well. So well, that my cat I lost last year never showed signs of kidney failure until his organs were shutting down. He was playing three days before. My point is, while your cat may not be acting ill or in pain, it's very likely that she is in that condition. Infection can turn a small lesion into a limb and life threatening ordeal surprisingly fast. Please don't wait to take your kitty to the vet. If finances are what's keeping you from going, there are many vets that, once you send them pictures and tell them your situation, would be willing to allow you to make payments. My vet used to offer payment plans for emergency situations, even if you had bad credit.

Take her in today, the vet thinks it's an allergy of some type, gave her a shot, bringing her back in two weeks to see if any improvements

no fleas or other bugs, plus stool sample was good, hopefully the shot will work

Welcome to The Cat Site! The OP has not returned since October of 2016, so I don't think that you will get a reply.

No one has ever come back to reply to this thread, so I don't think that you will get an answer. The most we can go on is #7 where the vet believed it was an allergy and gave a shot.

Where do you think?
It almost looks like an acid attack. I'm sure that's not what it is but looks like the skin is melted by a chemical.
