"Meatballs" - I love it!
I'm so glad to hear that Tera and babies have clean bills of health.  It's really delightful getting to watch the babies grow through your posts.  I hope you're getting enough rest now!
It is amazing what some hours of uninterrupted sleep can do for your personality.

GOD NO DON'T LET MOOK NAME THEM!  With her sense of humor, they would be "Thing One" and "Thing Two"!  I do like Minion.  And given that your hubby is calling them "the meatballs," you could name them Minion and Meatball.

Knowing how Hekitty is about being stabbed, I can just picture Tera.

OH...Asteri and Ilios come to mind.  They are Greek for Star and Sun.  Seemed to go with Tera nicely.

I call them thing 1 and thing 2. Minion sounds cute until you realize it shortens to Minnie real quick. Pretty good day. Tera has settled into the routine of sleeping during the day in the bedroom with hubs. Considering the reaction just carrying her through the living room yesterday moving to an enclosure out here is not on the agenda. I have to consider the two little meat sacks that can easily get hurt in a squabble enen though crates and bars. Having the FeLV/FIV off the table is good news. Although if it was a problem out here she would have never come in period. I don't like her not being vaccinated but she is in good health and is way past a 10 day quarantine. Turning Tera and one of the babies over to a good rescue is the best thing to do. What we are failing to consider is my husband does have COPD and it's well managed. adding 2 new cats is out of the question. Having 5 in the house is eventually going to be an issue. I remind myself at least once a day this is not my fault. They are now my responsibility because I took them in. I didn't make the situation.

Everyone is fine. Tera has learned to blink in case the flash goes off. She got up and stood over the babies after one picture tonight and with their eyes open I don't want to use the flash again. They are growing and while I know they can't hear or really see they seem to respond to my presence.

Tera is spending the day with hubby on his day off playing video games. She snuggles down next to him and then has to lean over to look at the nest box. She seriously deserves a home as a companion cat.

I sure hope Tera & the furry little ones will get a good new home. You bet I'd help if I could, but as I wrote in my introduction, I can't have a cat anymore. I should lock her up on my terrace. My spinning wheel and extra yarns (I love needlework) are there and it is good place for them, but not for a cat, be it the cat would see outside through the glass doors. But my heart would scream 'A cat does not deserve to live like that!', especially when the terrace has no heat whatsoever. The poor cat would scream day in day out and my heart would scream even louder. -20 degrees Celsius is not a weather in which a cat can be locked up on terrace wit no heat.

You are so sweet. It looks like the two meatballs are staying. Tera is such a fantastic cat but our Mook is unlikely to tolerate the introduction of a grown alpha female. Mercy is a powder puff.

Every day we spend time with Tera to give her a chance to trust humans. She is the ideal companion cat. ( once spayed).

Mercy had a short no touch meet and greet with one of the meatballs. She is ecstatic and was so excited. She wants to know where it went and when they can have a real play date. Mook was asleep and we left her snarly self snooze though the fun.

Awww!

So..Mercy and Mook are cats too, right? And Tera is the momma cat with kittens. There were 6 of them originally but 4 kittens had...grown together somehow and you had to let the vet euthanize them. I am sure you did the right thing. Sometimes you just have to let go, as hard as it might be. You are one brave woman.

I just try to understand this whole story here. I hope you stroke the pretty Tera and her 2 living, purring kittens.

As I told in my intro, we got 4 such purring little beings, but it was too much for my poor lungs. I'm happy that you can and want to take care of Tera and her sweet kittens. Tera resembles Misty Eye and Longing Heart, the female kittens of our Kismet.

Mook and Mercy are our resident cats. http://www.thecatsite.com/t/310574/mercy   We treat Tera as one of our own but she must live separate. This is to protect our cats and to protect Tera's babies. I mentioned the 4 lost souls in the title of this thread because they should not just be forgotten.  I coaxed Tera out for feeding around mid August. The current working solution is to keep her nursing as long as possible  keep the little boys and pay to have Tera placed in a high profile rescue where hopefully she will find her one and only forever home.

Well, then I had understood pretty much the whole story right. Stroke the pretty sweeties. I understand the need to protect T and her kittens. I'd do the same, as cat lover as I am. Tera deserves a good forever home, as do her kittens. They're so sweet! I hope from the bottom of my heart everything will turn out well.
