The necklace is beautiful, very beautiful.

My friend was thinking about doing something like this for Simon, but I was leery about sending ashes, but now you've got me thinking these companies are legit. Wow, it's stunning.

Wear it in good health.  It must be a comfort having Sebastian so close to your heart.

Best always.

What a wonderful thing to do, and stunning as well.  Now he's with you always ( as if he weren't already).

I've been checking out things to do with human ashes because I absolutely do not want MY ashes sitting on someone mantle, or in a box in someones basement more likely
, and did you know you can have them put in a pod and have them grow into a tree in your yard (or a loved one's yard)?  I think that is the coolest thing.  And it's only around $150 including the sapling.   (I hope I haven't spoiled any show and tells here, but thought it would be nice to get the word out about this)

Thank you, all.

It does take a certain level of trust to know that the artist will use your cat's ashes. I was very leery of this and wouldn't just give a small amount of Sebastian's ashes to anyone. I read reviews and asked lots of questions and went back and forth with the artist several times before ordering.

The other thing you have to be able to do is handle your cat's ashes. I had to open the urn and open the bag of ashes. Some people are really against "disturbing" the ashes, and I totally understand and respect that. I did feel a little uncomfortable doing so, but I cried and talked to Sebastian while I was doing it.

@Angels mommy, you might be able to search glass artists or glassblowers in your area. You might find someone that does all kinds of stuff. The guy I used started out making other types of glass creations, like home decor art, vases, and ashtrays.

@mrsgreenjeens, yes I did hear about that! It's a great idea. And, actually, you're thinking what I'm thinking. I know that I won't have Sebastian's ashes sitting on a shelf forever. I will eventually plant them or scatter them. I wanted to have the necklace made, as I will probably have that forever.

Dear Kelly and Nicole,

I tried to PM Kelly to tell you both how beautiful and touching the pendant Nicole had made me feel.I had not heard from you for sometime and wanted to see how you both were doing. I think of you both often and am sending hugs and love to you both.

Thank you Barbara,
I did pm you back. Thank you for thinking of me. I don't want to hijack Nicole's thread, but its hard to believe that tomorrow will be 5 months already since I said good-by to Angel.

Hi Nicole,
My heart truly goes out to you. I can totally relate and understand the pain you are going through. It is so hard when we lose our "special" kitties. Our hearts are broken and may never completely heal. It can be especially hard on those anniversaries and special days. We know our kitty should be here with us and they are not. It hurts so much that there was nothing we could do to save them. I am so sorry you are hurting so bad. I wish I had some magic words to comfort you. Just know that I and everyone here understands your grief all too well. Your Sebastian was a true beauty and will remain with you always.
Hugs, Gloria

Hi Nicole, I know, it does go by so fast doesn't it? Just a couple of weeks ago was 7 months for Angel (on the 5th).  I miss him too. In fact, I just wrote another poem about him, on the night of the 29th, the last time I was feeling sad, missing him. I posted it on my poetry thread.  I have been thinking about you, wondering how you were doing.

To my great surprise, a little black kitty (I think maybe 2 yrs old or so), showed up on my porch the following night, after writing the poem. I was certainly not ready , at all, for many reasons, but I think I've been adopted again. I started a thread titled that, & you can read all about it there.

I am sending you healing vibes, to feel better my friend.

I am so so sorry for the loss of Sebastian. What a beautiful boy! Both you and Sebastian were and continue to be an inspiration. Your knowledge, dedication, and love for Sebastian. Sebastian's obvious love for life and sunny disposition no matter what happened. I know it's been over six months now. And I know you are having challenges with Boo. Know that I am thinking of you, your s/o, and Ceasar and Boo.

I am just seeing this now, and I cannot believe the similarities between him and our Sebastian whom we lost last November, they look very similar, they have the same name and the orange cat in your video looks like another cat that we have "Simba", very much similar in MANY ways, and also how much it hurts when we lose them, how much we too miss our "Sea bass", his constant "talking" to us when he would be in the kitchen with us, how it felt to hold him and pet him, all those things that will live in our hearts forever, memories never fade.....

The other day Deb was holding Sylvester who looks like a cross between Sebastian and Simon a tuxedo we lost May 2014, he resembles them both in many ways, and she closed her eyes and was squeezing him and I knew who she was thinking about as Sebastian was her favorite, and I asked her "remind you of someone?" and she softly said "yes, it's like I'm holding Sebastian again" and I just smiled and said "you are.....you're holding all three, him, Simon and Sylvester".

Hold on to those great memories....sorry for your loss.
