Try to relax. This whole process could take hours.

Mook and Mercy are going nuts over the sound of the babies. They have tried to lick the screen and followed me around the house sniffing my hands to see if I had something. They wanna help.

one kitten is still attached to Naomi, but the placenta hasn't been deleivered.   Do I cut the cord while it's still attached? I don't think I have sterile thread here

Good for them.  It must be very disconcerting for them.  Poor babies.

How many have been born now?

I don't think you should try to cut the cord for her.  If this is the final kitten and the placenta isn't born within the next hour or two it may be time to call an emergency vet, but I know that I, at least, would be way out of my depth trying to take care of that problem.

Just one BIG happy family.

I'm very glad Wynonna is there for you and Naomi.  You're both going to need her with so many kittens coming into the world.

Naomi just jumped out of the whelping box and is just sitting there for a while, then she went back in.

How much blood loss is too much? She seems to be bleeding a bit.. Enough to make me worry. I changed the towels while she was out of the box.

Up to 5! One w a tabby head, one calico, 3 blacks.

Naomi is tending to the last born, and Wynonna is nursing the new babies

Yes if possible. You can rotate them for a while, though eventually it is usual for each kitten to go to its 'own' nipple, so each 'mama' may end up with the same kittens on her. How many have you got now?
