I recently took my 1 year old kittens to the vet for their yearly vaccinations. On Tuesday the 2nd they received their combination Distemper and also the rabies. I also bought Advantage Multi but I waited until the 4th to give them that. They now have diarrhea, with no solid to it at all. My male was the first on the 5th in the am. Now my little lady has diarrhea also. Both had normal poops until the diarrhea. There was no in between. It went from normal to liquid. Both still are having issues.
At first I thought it was just my boy having a belly ache, but now with my girl having the same issue I’m concerned. They don’t go outside, and haven’t gotten into anything. So, could it be the vaccination or advantage that got them sick? They are eating and playing as usual, sleeping a little more, but still active when they wake up. Is there anything I can do to help them get back to normal or firm it up? My poor boy is in and out of the litter box quite a bit. It’s funny and sad but he will be playing and then all of a sudden he makes a mad dash for the box. They are long haired so it has been quite a mess.
Also I have recently switched their food but they have been doing great on it for 2 weeks. I don’t think it is that. They went from 100% dry to 90% wet. Would that do it?
Thanks for any suggestions or feedback!
