Hi,

After my cat eats and walks away, sometimes she shakes each paw.

Similar to how you or I would shiver if we got a chill.

I interpret that as not enjoying the new food she's trying, or sniffing.

Yet I'm not 100% positive.

Thoughts?

To me, that's just shaking off any morsels that may have splattered on the paws.  If a cat truly dislikes the food, they simply won't eat it.

Hi, my cat shakes her paw like that after she drinks water, then kind of shakes quick all over.
I don't feel it is because they don't like their food.

After Speedy eats, she will slowly walk away and then investigate this corner, then that corner, etc.

My Rachel who is gone to Heaven
, used to scratch the floor all around her plate after she ate.  Then the wall.
This was after she fell ill that she started to do this.

Mine sometimes would shake their paws too. Most often they'll groom themselves after eating. Monet the would dash about the condo for a while

I feed Ming near the stairs so sometimes he'll walk up after eating, look back, and if I walk after him, he'll go running like I'm chasing him. I usually do chase him or hide behind a wall and then pounce towards him.

In the mornings, I don't watch him eat so I feed him, go get ready and I'll usually hear him use the litterbox right after (then he'll be running around like a maniac).

He shakes his paws usually when he steps in something weird like water or leftover food. So maybe she got some food on her paws or saliva and is just getting it off

Montgomery waits to have his nose kissed, ears rubbed, fur combed, and teeth brushed. Then I carry him to his favourite cat tree and he washes his face and hands.
