Tap water for myself and all of my creatures.  Often times it has been Brita filtered, but not always.

I cringe to think about the number of bottles that must be gone through.  Y'all had best be recycling!!

The cats at work and home get tap water filtered through a Brita filter, and there are Drinkwell fountains with filters at both home & work.  For most of their life the work cats drank bottled water because the water at our previous office was very suspect.  I never drank the stuff myself so I wouldn't give it to the cats.  When our office moved last year we had much better water so I got a Brita pitcher for work.

One of the cats at work has been having issues and she's been drinking a lot more, so I now also put out two stainless steel bowls with the filtered water in addition to the Drinkwell fountain.  She really likes the water best when I change it in the morning, and fill the bowls with cold water from the pitcher in the fridge.

Filtered tap or room temp tap... I live in a area with NO chlorine or fluoride in water ;) ....  For those worried about fluoride look up Berkley water filters they are one of the few that has a fluoride removal filter ... Mine like the fish water too , fish poo is nutritious for plants ;)

Mine are on all canned and also don't drink alot of water from their bowl, which is tap water. We have very good water here in our area (Bay area in CA) however fluoride IS added.

I guess I should be more conscious of this.....shoot. Always something :\

We have a water softening in the house. Also a separate for our drinking water which is reverse osmosis.

I give my kitties well water from the sink but they don't drink much since they eat wet food.

My cats have a fountain with a charcoal filter in it. They love to drink the moving water and will wait after I clean it for allof the new water to go throught the filter. They also have some regular bowls with just tap water in them. They will drink out of them but usually wait until the water is a day or so old. I guess they're waiting for whatever's in the tap water to settle out.
Miki has this too. She will only drink moving water. For Calida and Merida, they appear to like ice-cold still water from my Brita filter.

My cats get the same water I drink so tap water or bottled water, our water is okay it does have fluoride in it which I didn't know was bad for cats but I've been wanting to get them a filtered water fountain drinker for them which I think they will really love as they enjoy drinking from a dripping tap or jumping in the shower after it's turned off and watching the water go down the drain my girl trinity also likes to drink out of cups, but any oppions on affordable water filtered water found would be appreciated I want the best for my babies

Same as me, water from the PUR faucet filter only!  Because he only eats canned RX food from having cystitis, I also add water to his food, so he never drinks from is bowl, even though I keep some fresh water in it, Just in case he wants any.

I give my girl tap water. Is that a problem? The water in my area is pretty good, only it has flouride in it. I do have a filter, so would filter water be better for her? Even though she gets an all wet diet, she still drinks a fair amount of water (just got back from the vet with a perfect, clean, 100% approval bill of health!)...

Water fountain - with tap water that is filtered with activated carbon.

You can buy large sheets of activated carbon at most aquarium stores, as well as floss.  Cut the carbon to fit the filter and slide it into the floss.

Change it out once a month or so.

Filtered.   Since we live in a motorhome, we have a filter between the spigot & the hose coming into the coach, and a filter in the refrigerator, and I use the refrigerator spigot to fill their Pioneer Pet water fountain which also has it's own charcoal filter.

Mine gets tap water that is filtered through the carbon filter in her fountain. She is on a mixed wet/raw diet, but she does like her water from her fountain.

In the bowl I use good bottled water -- the mountain spring stuff -- not the factory purified junk.

However, I can't stop her from drinking hose water whenever I water plants.

We have a Brita filter on our faucet ever since our veterinarian said that she'd been seeing a lot of cats and dogs in the area with urinary tract issues. She said she was starting to think there was something up with the water considering that it was cats and dogs on many different diets. I definitely notice a change in the water - I get a sip of the unfiltered stuff now and the chlorine is over-powering. I wonder why we never noticed that before.

You should get a water fountain. It will encourage her to drink more and be adequately hydrated.

I have a PUR water filter on the faucet, so that is what I use. After a UTI & 2 episodes of cystitis all in 2012, I'm not taking ANY chances!

Even though he only eats wet food, I still mix in some filtered water to make sure he gets plenty!  In fact, w/ that he get so much, that I never see him drink from his bowl anymore. He gets plenty between the wet food, & me mixing in the water as well 2xs/day.

He was on Rx food for a year, & then I found a healthier alternative (no byproducts/or grains)  to his urinary formula this year. (2 months on it, & had a good follow up urinalysis & ultrasound!)

He will stay on that from now on!
