Monet is OBSESSED with boxes! Each time I get a package delivery, he just can't WAIT to get inside the box. I don't even get the chance to open the box, and he's flipping it around, trying to get inside it.

Any box. Shoe boxes, cereal boxes, shipping boxes.. he HAS to go in and he cannot wait!

Is anyone else's cat this obsessed? Cassie could care less about these boxes.

Holly loves boxes.  Her motto is- "If I fits- I sits". She will try to squeeze herself (and she's a sizable cat) into the smallest box possible.

Right now we've got an Amazon box on the floor that had one of the daughter's college books she bought online.  Holly will sit in that box for HOURS and just watch Sam run all over the house.  Heaven help him if he tries to get into it- he gets swatted or chased away

Swanie loves boxes.  If you put one down, he'll be in it (or try to get in it).  We have one that we have tipped up so he can go in and scratch (a paper box, that the reams of paper come in), and just a few minutes ago he tipped it up and got into it.  Cindy has taken to sleeping in what was Swanie's big box that we have turned sideways - can't even remember what came in that box.

Oh yes, Mouse will possess any box that comes in to this house, whether he fits in it or not (He will always try). Mostly I keep one or two boxes to keep him entertained - until they get too tatty, or if they're big and I get sick of the mess....  Right now he's got 2, one large one in the spare room that he hides inside, and one medium one in the sitting room that I throw biscuits in to and he leaps in after them.  He also has a new large paper bag his circuit toy's half hidden in but I'll take the toy out in a day or two so he can hide in the bag coz it's the perfect fit for him.

Rather it's a box, useable bags, paper bags or a plastic sack Bella & Thunder are in it.

Daisy and Speck love them!  If we buy a refrigerator, the box it came in will have to sit in my living room for six months.

Right here! :)
Feykirófa loves boxes. She HAS to sit in every box she sees, no matter how small the box is. Even when my son does a puzzle, that iskept in a box, she magically appears in the box as soon as the puzzle is out of the box. :). The others are not box persons.

Wow, Mowgli's symmetrical chewing is quite something!  Do you ever wonder if Mowgli's been on this earth before, like maybe as a sculptor or builder or something?   Or may be it's a sign of an OCD cat.

Here I was, thinking he was artistic, but you might be right about the OCD.

He's done that with every box we've given him. He does both sides of one flap, then moves on to the next flap till all four have been "tapered". If you don't give him a new box, he'll start back on the first flap. It's really weird.

Ever tried giving him a box that's missing one or two of the flaps? I'd love to know what he does!

That seems mean! :lol3: I'll offer him one the next time we have a few spares. I don't want to ruin his "only box". :lol3:

I'm not THAT mean, just testing out if he goes in to panic looking for his symmetry or gets more creative and finds some new design.
If he panics and can't cope you can put another box out for him - or just tuck in one or two of the flaps before he gets to the box so he can't see or get to them unless you pull them back out again. I'm thinking it has to be one clever and talented cat that can chew those straight lines!

Great pics!  Our three loves boxes, too.  We always have at least one Amazon box on the floor for kitty entertainment.
