How are you coming along with "Fiery Cross" Rockcat? What chapter are you on?

I just finished chapter 13, so Bree & Roger still aren't married. I know something's got to be up with the chain the baby had... curious about that... and of course, why the priest really got arrested.

It still amazes me how much detail Diana goes into without losing the focus of the story.

I'm getting frustrated that the friend I lent Outlander to hasn't cracked it open yet, but I can't complain because it took me years after my Mom lent it to me! LOL!!! I'm glad I have you to talk about it with! :)

Sorry rockcat! I've been out of town and this is the first time I've been able to get to a computer. I need to get home to my books so I can read where you are at. I won't be home til next weekend though. My sister had surgery and I'm helping her out.
It's so hard for me to remember all the details. I should've brought fiery cross with me.
I've leant my copy of the original outlander out to so many people hoping to get someone to talk to about it. I don't even know where it is anymore. It just keeps getting passed around unread. I don't know what peoples deal is. They don't know what they are missing out on!

Dinna fash yourself, Cricket! Relax and take care of your sister. There is no deadline here. :)

A little at a time... I finished chapter 23. Well it looks like Jamie is getting ready to lead his newly formed troops to battle.

Are you still reading Into the Wilderness?

I love this series. I've read them all at least 3-4 times and I'm currently rereading it again. I'm on Voyager right now.

Cool! I guess if any series is worthy of being read so much, this one is.

Thanks so much for discussing this series! I cannot put the books down. I have about 30 pages yet to read of Voyager and then I'll have to physically go to our library to see if they have the rest of the series; I cannot find them for my Nook at the library. If so, I will get them all. I love the Outlander series.

And yes, this is a series that can be read and re-read and then read yet again. In fact, I may put the entire series of books on my Christmas wish list. I'm in love with Jamie and Claire and Fergus and wee Ian. (I've not "met" Rollo yet.)

Thank you.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I'm slowing down, but not because of the books - just because I've been busy. I have to say, this is the best series I have ever read. The books I don't own are going on my birthday list in September.

DG's writing truly amazes me. It's great to have people to discuss it with. I can't tell which book is my fav. I love them all so much!

WOW! A whole month scince I posted.  I didnt fall off the face of the earth!  Ive been super busy and havent had any time to get on the computer.

Well Rockcat, you may have gotten your wish!!!!! My dad emailed me to tell me that he read that Outlander is going to be made into a mini series.  I looked on Dianas site, and it seems to be true, although, just in the begining stages.  Diana said its not been cast yet, but check this out...http://www.examiner.com/article/fiction-to-film-casting-the-outlander-miniseries.

Pretty exciting!!!

Yes, Im still reading "Into the Wilderness". Im on the third book.  I planned on reading the first one and then rereading the Outlander series, but I cant seem to stop a series once Ive started.  They are pretty good.  Not as good as Outlander.  The characters are very likable, but there will never be another Jamie.

Winchester--I am so glad you are getting into the series!!  You have soooo much great reading ahead of you.

Melesine--You are an Outlander expert!  We need you in this conversation!

Hi Cricket! Welcome back. I knew you were on hiatus.

So, WOWWIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Thanks for the link! I like the "dream cast" a lot, except for Ian and Jenny.

I went to Diana Gabaldon's site and saw that this IS in the works, but could be cancelled at any time, (just because that's how those things work). I don't think it will be cancelled though. A cable channel has not yet contracted for the series, but one of them better! ;)

I wouldn't have stopped with a series in the middle either. Enjoy it.
