How To Quote Posts When Replying On The Forums

There are a few different ways to quote a post here on TheCatSite. If you just want to quote part of the message, you can highlight it and then click "reply"

You can do this for multiple posts.

If you want to reply to multiple full messages in the same thread, you can click reply at the bottom of all of the posts.

You must be careful to not post your comment inside the quoted text. In the box you will see that each quote begins or ends with brackets with the word Quote inside. Post your comment after the brackets that have a forward slash with QUOTE.

You can also use the "quote" button instead of the reply button if you want to quote from multiple threads. Once you are finished selecting, click "Insert Quotes" below the reply box of the thread you want to reply in.

The quotes you have selected will pop up and you can either remove some or if happy with the selected quotes you can click "quote these messages"

When quoting or replying to multiple posts, it is very important to place your comment in between the posts and not in the middle. Each quote will have starting and finishing brackets. When finished you can just click "post reply"
