Fluffy Grey Greyisha

Just before Christmas I was told about a couple of kitties that were being evicted from their home. Well the kitties were not evicted but their person was. So pretty much the same thing as. Anyway their person left and couldn't take the kitties with him and just left them behind. He did visit that home and left food outside for them at times, but I'm not sure how often or how much of that food they actually got. It was getting cold and wet here and I just couldn't leave them in that situation once I had heard. So with the help of a friend we caught them and I brought them to my house until we could find a forever loving home for them. I took them to the vet for a checkup and had them vaccinated because I had no idea if they had had those or not. We were able to verify that Greyisha was a female and had been spayed. The vet also estimated her age to be around 3 or 4. We put down 4 in her records.

Greyisha is really shy and even after 2 months she goes between my office and the bathroom cupboard. She does not like others in fur and she will growl at them if she can see them at all. But with me she is really sweet and has finally begun playing with things on my desk but mostly she hides behind my computer or in the bathroom cupboard. I am still looking for a home for her because I want her to be happy and she is still hiding after 2 months.

Ugh.  I'd like to see community-acceptable pet care integrated into school curriculums. The ability to just leave kittens behind should be something we learn early on is UNACCEPTABLE.  Ah well.  Worked out ok in this case.  Enjoy your beauty and thanks for sharing!

She's a beauty!  Does she have cat toys to play with?  You can use a wand with mouse at the end (like Lulu has in my picture!) and have her chase it around as you play with her.    That way she gets used to more human involvement and hopefully might lose a little of her shyness!

You are so wonderful to help this sweet girl.  She is beautiful!  You are her angel.
