Well, no time like the present, so allow me to introduce to a hot green-eyed calico by the name of Christy:

Christy is one lucky girl, adopted from the Animals for Life shelter in Ohio by our forum member Callista . Callista tells us that Christy was very nervous at first, and wouldn’t eat anything other than cat treats. Fortunately, this striking cream and blue calico has settled in her new home and enjoys a balanced diet these days.

It really isn’t! See, on our cat forums, we have a nice feature that members have come up with called “Spotlight Member of the Week”. One member is singled out and questioned, everything and anything that comes to the minds of the other members. Once the week is over, the poor, umm, I mean lucky, member gets to pick next week’s member in the spotlight.

For example, during the past seven days, our member in the spotlight was Bonnie1965 -

Every now and again we get a special theme thread in there, especially now with our monthly themed contests (thanks to our Contest Contessa, Heidi (aka valanhb on the boards).

One specific contest which I thought had absolutely stunning pictures is the cat eyes photo contest. Some amazing close-ups on cat eyes which really show up the beauty of this unique feline feature. I’m going to share the pictures that got the most votes here, but do yourself a favor and visit the thread to see the rest! Pretty much every member that had to vote mentioned just how hard it was making a choice!
